Quick review about June's Bootcamp.
I have fallen in love with Original Bootcamp. No joke.
I live, eat, drink, talk, sleep, dream Bootcamp. People are having football fever, I am having Bootcamp fever.
I didn't do as well this month, only losing 4kg :(
I am really disappointed with myself this month, I don't think I push myself as hard as I should or could. I've been eating a hella lot (well more than last month) and I have been feeling lazy. Urgh.
Sessions have been grueling as usual. New punishment, THE PULSE. New routines, like LEOPARD CRAWL (I hate it the most, more than grunts and running put together).
My dear highschool friend, Miss CPY, who just joined Bootcamp this month is joining AGAIN next month!! And she said she has fallen in love with it too!! Haha.
We are having a week off Bootcamp *horror* I swear I feel like I have gained 4515454487844kg from not going to Bootcamp this week. And the scariest of all. I feel like somethings missing in life, like a part of me. OMG I AM ADDICTED D:
So yes, I am sulking and depressed due to the lack of workout (I did try a mini-bootcamp session by myself, but I gave up in 20 mins) and my terrible performance in June.
Come July and I will kick some ass. I am going to rock Original Bootcamp Subang Jaya like it's never been rocked before.
Nothing more to update. The same old, same old. I think I will err, borrow some pictures from OBCSJ and post in on here for whoever reads my blogs viewing pleasure :D
I know, I have been lazy and I haven't been posting much. But no one read my blogs anyway. So MEH.

Original Bootcamp Malaysia
First session of June 2010, my 13th session with Bootcamp :)
We had benchmark today, Benchmark is something we do in the beginning of each month to see how far we've come :) If you want further details and how my FIRST ever one was, click this ------> The n00bs guide to a Benchmark
Well, if you had read that before, you'll know I DNF (didn not finish) my first ever Benchmark, coming in at 22minutes and had another lap to go, and the mile run, I also DNF :(
But this time around, yours truly, Josephine aka Fat Girl, FINISHED da' benchmark yo!!!!!!!! Clocking in at 14.33 for phase 1 and 12.35 for the mile run. OH YEAH!!!!!
Honestly, I am proud to say, this is the happiest I have ever felt in ages. It's like an achievement that I never thought I could accomplish. And my "Boot Buddies", oh my god, without them, I don't think I could have make it. Their relentless support and the cheers they gave me when I completed my round.
I am so so so so soooooo blessed to have such a supportive platoon/team :D
And the trainers! Sarge Jason and Corporal Shamil, they helped pushed me and I really hope I made them proud :))))))))
Honestly, I am so high from happiness at the moment, it's just hard to explain.
You know, it's that one goal you set, and that one goal you think you're not gonna be able to complete, but you finally did, and it just takes your breath away. I don't think I have ever in my life been as proud as myself, but then again, I am only 19 (coming on 20 in October)
And one of my closest friends from high school has joined Bootcamp, I think she might hate me now!!! She said, and I quote "One of the hardest things I have done in my life."
Welcome to Original Bootcamp sayang :)) It ain't easy, but it works. HOOOYYYAAAAAHHH =D

It's all in the head.
That's what it is.
Since joining Original Bootcamp, my life seems to be revolved around it. Some of my friends said it seems like I either joined a cult or some secret society.
I love Bootcamp. I think this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Unless you have been to OBC, you really don't know what we go through during that hour of the day. It's not just physical, it's a whole lot of mental as well.
One of the things OBCSJ has taught me, is really to NEVER GIVE UP.
It's like that last few laps, where you're just so exhausted, you're panting, out of breath, and your legs feel like they're about to drop off, and for some people, they'll tell themselves "Oh just give up, you're tired, it's hard" and they'll stop. I used to be that kinda person, I use to give up when things get rough.
OBCSJ has taught me the complete opposite, when I get tired, when I feel like just stopping, when my legs feel like they can't run anymore, I tell myself "Come on, just a few more laps, you can do it. You MUST do it!" And I finished the whole run.
Suddenly, I am determined to do things, OBCSJ has given me a new outlook in life, and I really can't describe it. I know it's only been a month, but this is how I feel.
I feel healthier, happier, more determined and have developed a YES I CAN attitude.
Before you think I get something out of promoting OBCSJ, I don't. We don't get discounts or whatever, but I do get a way out of a sad, unhealthy life.
Oh and I lost 10KG in the month process, believe it or not? I think I look the same, even though most of my pants are loose now. We'll go another month before I put up a before and after pic :P
Hooyah :D

Original Bootcamp (Session 12)
The final session of OBCSJ for the month of May.....
and the hardest fucking one till date. I am not going into details, but it was HARD. Sarge said we ran 28 rounds, that is at least 3km. While carrying rifles, bazookas, moneybags and even a HUGE ASS TYRE. Which was like 42kg? Fwoah!!
After the session, we went to the closest mamak and just hang out, ate some :) Would like to say a big THANKS to Elgy for the treat. Later that day, we had our GRADUATION at Las Caretas in Taipan. It was good fun. It's was really awesome to see my BOOT BUDDIES, in like "normal attire". We normally see each other on the field all sweaty, exhausted, make up-less, disgruntled and basically (well, in my case) completely unattractive (not like, IMO, make up helps or anything, but hey at least I look a lil wee better).
We had a good night, getting to know each other, laughing and pigged out. It was sad that two recruits weren't joining us in June (one is actually a trainer and will be setting up a camp in Bukit Jelutong, and the other, had to go Bali, Indonesia for a pre-planned trip) BUT Mr Bali, will be back in July and ze six-packed trainer will join us once in a while.
No more cheers and taunts from Andy :( Boo.
This Monday will be benchmark!!! The first session will always be Benchmark, and that was the thingy that I DNF (did not complete, read about it in my first entry about it)
This time around, I am DETERMINED to finish it. I don't care what's the time I clock in, I just want to finish it, even though I DETEST/LOATHE/HATE running, I am still going to try my hardest, and hopefully make myself proud :D

Original Bootcamp SJ(Session 10)
I know, I have been a lazy slacker that never updates my blog anymore.
Original Bootcamp Subang Jaya aka OBCSJ, is kinda taking over my life, me thinks. I look forward to every single session. It's really strange. I hate exercise and now I feel weird a day without it.
Today's session was MENTAL.
We carried "rifles" and ran zig zags while performing an exercise at each cones we stopped at. URGHURGHURGHURGH!!!!!!!!!
To all the new recruits that are here for trial week, WILL YOU PLEASE FUCKING RUN? I was so pissed off today. When Sarge says, 30 seconds water break, he means it. Don't you people learn from the first 16 grunts? When Sarge says 10 friggin seconds, RUN FOR YOUR FRIGGIN LIFE. Don't walk and take your goddamn time.
This is not the freaking gym, this is not about you, we are a TEAM. One falls, everyone falls. URGH.
DID YOU NOT FREAKING HEAR, WHEN I YELLED "ONE GRUNT PER SECOND?" You heard me, for each second you are late, EVERYONE gets a grunt.
I know you're tired, but so are we. Think not only of yourself for once. SHEESH
I HATE GRUNTS. Grunts are the most evil thing on the face of the planet D:
Unlike you guys, our workouts are harder than yours. WE HAVE TO CARRY FRIGGIN RIFLES D:
I know you are new and if it happened ONE time, that you got back late after water break, that's fine but TWO times is NOT cool.
I rather give up water than to do grunts.
Oh though, the trials for 7-8am, made me happy :) It was nice watching other people suffer for once hahaha. Sadistic I know.
Oh and I have decided that on Friday, I am bringing popcorn, beer and all the good stuff, sit back, relax and watch the 7am group get their arse whooped.
Anyways, my shoulder feels like I carried a Dumbo the Elephant on it, and right now all I want is SLEEP :(

Original Bootcamp SJ (Session 4)
Monday, May 10th 2010.
Fourth session and the start of the week. I took a cab to 3k today and it was like RM10 from my place. I didn't feel a pinch, because RM 10 is normally either spent on FOOD or top up for my phone, so it's money worth and need spending to get healthy. I wanted to take a bus but it's too early and bus services only start at 6am :( Oh and they were saying how OBCSJ is gonna have a second time slot next month at 7am-8am. I am not really keen because I like working out in the dark ( people can't see my fats wobble :D) and also it's not as hot.
I don't drive ( yes,I don't have a license and no, don't ask why) so I am having transportation problems :(
Anyways, let's get back on topic. Today we used equipments! :) We had to carry this pole thing that looked like a bamboo to me but turned out to be a substitute for a rifle, and do squats. IT WAS FREAKING HARD D:
We started off with some cardio, running as usual but thsi time, we had to lay on the ground on our stomachs, get up, run to the other side of the field lay back down on our stomachs, get back up and repeat. We switch from laying on our stomachs, to getting on our knees, to being on our backs and then to being on our backs and getting up without using our hands. It was intense, as usual.
We were spilt into groups of two, but in my group there were three of us, Mark, Sheena and myself. We had 18 people, but one of our team mates had an injury, so he can't do as much. So his group had 3 people and so did mine. ( I think Sarge placed me in the group coz I am weakling, so my team mates can help me a little :P)
We all stood in a circle and had to perform four kind of exercise. We started off without the equipments. We had to do sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks and grunts. We started with grunts, while the next group did push ups and so on. We switch after 60 seconds and the next would be 40 then 20.
I was so extremely "lucky", that we got to do grunts first! 60 seconds of it. And we weren't allowed to stop, everytime we stopped, Sarge will add 20 seconds!!!!
The ones with the equipment were way more tough. That pole thing was HEAVY.And we had to do 4 different exercise, but the same routine like above. First was the squats where you lift the "rifle" up in the air everytime you push up, the other were also squats but the "rifle" had to held in front of you while you squat ( That was freaking tiring).
We also had to do like star sit ups, where we lay on the ground on our backs, sit up using on our chest, and not using our hands.
The last was the worst, "mountain climbing". Basically we had to be in the push up position and kick our legs in and out alternately. It sounds easy but it's FLIPPING hard D: I hate it!!!! It got on my nerves so much, when Shamil (one of our instructors) was trying to tell us how to do it, and saying how easy etc, I flipped and yelled " That's because you're a professional" I felt bad after :(:(
SHAMIL, if you see this, I AM SORRRRY :(
And we had a little competition after that. Alpha vs Bravo. I was in Alpha, and we had to do red indian run or something lol. We all had to lie on the floor, our knees can't touch the ground so we had to support with our arms and toes. We had to lie in a line, and the instructor would tap your back and you had to get up, run to the front and lay back down again. THAT WAS HARD D:
Losing team had to do 20 grunts. I thought we were doomed, because there were a few great runners in Bravo. I didn't resign to fate, I ran for dear life, we the Alpha team, pushed hard and ran.
and
WE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At first, I didn't know, I assumed we lost, so I just got down and started doing my grunts, when I reached my fifth grunt, I saw all my team mates just standing, only THEN did I realized we won LOL. It felt great to win :) and I had loads of fun today hehe :)
Shamil said Monday's would be easier and Friday's would be the toughest. But as the week progress, each week would get harder and harder D:
I took the bus home, and it was hillarious. I was covered in mud, I was wearing pink pants, so the mud was very obvious all over it. My hands and face was also had some dirt on it, but I didn't bring a towel, so meh.
When I got on the bus, every single eyes were on me. As I walked, people were just looking at me from head to toe. Thank God, I was holding a bottle, inhaler and my wallet or people might think I was robbed, kidnapped, raped or whatever. Or they might think I had some rough, intense sex in public.....
Anyways, it was fun today and right now I feel beat. I just wrote 4 new posts :/ Oh and my next entries won't be so detailed about OBCSJ. Just how badly I suffered, etc :P
It's hard but it works. HOOOYAH.

Out with the Fat and in with the Chubby
One week after Original Bootcamp Subang Jaya, I, Josephine Gan, has lost 4 KG. OH YEAH, that is like nearly 10 friggin pounds!
I feel FANTASTIC :D
Sidenote: This wasn't just exercising, I am also on diet. They did give us a nutrition plan but it's so....... white. I am YELLOW. I AM ASIAN. What the hell is Minestrone? And kangaroon meat, I kid you not.
WE HAVE CURRY AND KUAHHHHH AND BAK KUT TEH. None of this fancy stuff.
I just took less salt, little carbs like brown bread, lots of water, lots of fruits, eggs and... that's it. Oh I did falter on Thursday and Saturday :( I had heavy meals that I regretted right after :(:(:(
But yes, I am very proud of myself. Hopefully this will keep up , and maybe, just maybe, if I really lost enough weight, I'd post BEFORE and AFTER shots haha :)
